About this collection

Charles Fremont "Pruner" West '24 broke many boundaries throughout his life, including being the first black quarterback to play in the Rose Bowl in 1922. This collection includes a video clip from that Rose Bowl game, which pitted W&J against the California Golden Bears, and other items from the U. Grant Miller Library's Learned T. Buhlman '48 Historic Archives and Museum at Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, Pennsylvania.
